DECHEMA: 100 Years Fischer-Tropsch Process

Event

Meet our colleagues Benjamin Mutz and Peter Kolb at the anniversary conference in Mülheim an der Ruhr. The event marks 100 years since the groundbreaking discovery by Franz Fischer and Hans Tropsch – and highlights the central role of the synthesis process in the energy transition. The focus lies on linking electricity from renewable sources with molecular energy carriers and chemical products – for example, through Power-to-X processes that convert CO₂ and hydrogen into synthetic fuels or basic chemicals.

The conference brings together scientific fundamentals, technological innovations, and societal perspectives – with the goal of further advancing Fischer-Tropsch technology as a key element in defossilized energy systems.

Visit our poster entitled: “Accelerating Process R&D for Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis via Cutting-Edge High-Throughput Technology.”
