The National Institute of Clean-and-Low-Carbon Energy (NICE), a research institute funded and administered by the Shenhua Group, acquired a powerful hte technology solution to propel its catalyst research and development (R&D).
By winning the next customer in China, the high throughput experimentation company is successfully expanding its business on the Asian market. hte secured a tender to equip NICE with a 16-fold high throughput system for heterogeneous catalyst testing, which will be delivered in 2016. The high-tech unit accelerates R&D of coal-based syngas catalytic conversions such as Fischer-Tropsch synthesis and other gas-to-liquids processes (GTL).
“hte has proven its extensive expertise in high throughput testing of Fischer-Tropsch catalysts and related applications. Furthermore, hte has already built an excellent reputation on the Chinese market. So it was the obvious choice,” commented Dr. Xu Wenqiang, Chief Technology Officer of NICE.
NICE, which is a subsidiary of the Shenhua Group, the largest coal-producing company in China, aims to develop new catalysts and processes for clean energy with the state-of-the-art tool from hte. The research institute was founded to support the core businesses of the Shenhua Group.
