Project Manager / Chemist (m/f/d) in high throughput / Catalysis

Your tasks
Together with our clients, you will initiate and manage projects in the field of catalysis using state-of-the-art high-throughput catalyst testing equipment, scientific software, and analytical methods.
You will develop research and testing strategies and be responsible for the execution and safety of experimental and preparative work in collaboration with our technical departments.
With your excellent communication skills, you will lead your project team and define work packages to ensure a smooth and structured project workflow.
You will monitor, assess, and document the progress of the project, ensure that milestones are met, and take full responsibility for project costs.
You will support the department of business development with your technical knowledge about our technology platform and current market trends, convincing our clients with your expertise.
You will expand your knowledge in the field of catalysis and high-throughput research and participate in marketing campaigns as well as technology development. This includes generating, utilizing, and analyzing large data streams, as well as developments in automation and parallelization.
As part of the global BASF R&D network, you will expect interdisciplinary collaboration in projects and partnerships with other research units.
Your profile
You have a successfully completed university degree with a doctorate in the field of chemistry or chemical engineering.
You possess in-depth knowledge in the area of heterogeneous catalysis, which includes both testing and preparation of catalysts.
Furthermore, you have good knowledge of industrial catalysis and process engineering, as well as a willingness to further develop in these areas.
Additionally, you bring solid project management skills in the R&D sector. Ideally, you keep up with current digitalization trends and have already gained experience with efficient analysis and modeling of research data.
You are capable of contributing innovatively to problem-solving and can effectively communicate these solutions in both German and English.
