Catalyst Testing and R&D
Working together with clients, hte carries out industrial R&D projects for the discovery, optimization and further development of catalysts, by testing, for example, the activity, selectivity and aging of catalysts.
At hte we can test both material libraries provided by the customer as well as new active materials which have been synthesized in our own state-of-the-art synthesis laboratories. hte’s experts are not only able to synthesize recipes provided by the client but can also offer the know-how and experience to actively contribute to the development of new catalytic materials in partnership with the client. Testing of catalyst properties at hte is carried out by our experienced and highly skilled team using validated high throughput technology including continuous flow reactor systems as well as batch reactor systems. These systems are tried-and-tested under industrially relevant conditions.
During a typical research project anything from a few dozen up to several hundred materials can be tested in our 8 – 48 fold reactor systems under different reaction conditions, including different pressures, temperatures, reagents, and flow rates and project durations can vary from just a few weeks up to several months.
This ‘many at once’ approach results in faster and more cost efficient lead identification as well as faster and more cost efficient optimization of catalyst materials.
